Christopher Jen Kin, DDS, ABOI/ID
Dr. Chris Jen Kin graduated from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in 2005. Though originally from Los Angeles, he now considers the Bay Area his home.
Dr. Jen Kin’s expertise in dental implants has led him to receive his Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry (ABOI/ID). There are currently only a dozen dentists in Northern California that hold this credential and less than 600 in the entire world. In order to pass this rigorous board examination a dentist must offer in-depth knowledge and defense of their own patient cases, as well as demonstrate competence and judgment of advanced dental implant surgical and prosthetic principles before a panel of Diplomates.
Dr. Jen Kin was previously a dental instructor teaching fixed prosthodontics at the UOP School of Dentistry. Prosthodontics is the dental specialty relating to the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and maintenance of patients with missing or deficient teeth and oral and maxillofacial (jaw and face) tissues.
Dr. Jen Kin also serves as the on-call dentist at Mills-Peninsula Medical Center with hospital privileges for the Emergency and Surgery departments.
For a more relaxing experience for the dental phobic patient, he is also licensed to administer both IV and oral conscious sedation.
In his free time, Dr. Jen Kin likes to travel with his wife and children. His interests include rock climbing, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and photography.
Dr. Sarah Esmaili
Originally from the Bay Area and a college graduate of Santa Clara University, Dr. Sarah Esmaili (pronounced Es-smiley) headed out to Philadelphia for dental school, where she earned her DMD from Temple University Maurice Kornberg School of Dentistry and received the Edward B. and Arnold R. Cook Award in Pediatric Dentistry. There she discovered her passion of working with children and pursued pediatric dental residency at Geisinger Hospital in Danville, PA, located in an underserved rural area that draws a large pediatric population from more than a two-hour radius.
Dr. Esmaili loves to help kids discover and build their self-confidence during their dental visits. Ultimately, her role as a pediatric dentist involves encouraging children to implement good oral habits through creating positive dental experiences, so they feel comfortable going to the dentist well into adulthood.
Dr. Esmaili is affiliated with the following organizations: California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and American Dental Association. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer, swimming, reading, and drinking hot chocolate at every opportunity.
